The AU Story

They Taught Us Everything—Except How to Love

Let’s be real: many of us—especially in the Black community—weren’t taught how to love in a way that was emotionally safe, secure, or sustainable. We learned how to succeed in school, how to pray, how to hustle, and how to survive. But when it came to emotional connection? Most of us were left to figure it out on our own. If you didn’t grow up watching healthy love in action, then chances are, you’ve been learning through trial and error—and that learning curve? Whew, it's steep. Love shouldn’t be a guessing game. We get degrees for our minds and certifications for our careers… but where’s the school for the heart?

That’s why I created Attachment University—after my own heartbreak cracked me wide open and forced me to heal from the inside out. I knew there had to be a better way to learn how to love, be loved, and lead with emotional security. So in 2022, I built the school I wish I had—a space where we could learn how to navigate relationships with clarity, confidence, and care. Today, AU is home to a powerful lineup of tracks, courses, and coaching experiences including:

Growing up, my family was big on education and attending an HBCU. It was almost ingrained in us that we would attend one because everyone in my family did.  

And guess what? So did I. 

That's when I fell in love with everything about an HBCU. I went to an HBCU, and believe me when I say...it truly is a different world...fa real.  

We weren’t just students, we were friends that became a family. We supported one another and worked together being in unfamiliar territory away from what we know.  We turned everything into a fun adventure and began a journey of self discovery that later shaped who we were. We took pride in our school and celebrated accordingly. It's that same vibe that I wanted for Attachment University. 

At Attachment University, we bring that same HBCU energy—the sense of family, pride, and unwavering support—into everything we do. AU is designed to create that same environment for you. I am committed to helping you master the art of connection in every aspect of life—personally, professionally, and relationally—so that through support, togetherness, and a family-like atmosphere, you can build healthy, authentic connections that strengthen all your relationships.

That's why the AU motto is..."It's all about you".  Because it is.  

As women, we’ve got an amazing capacity to love, but too often we give, give, give and never learn how to fill ourselves back up. We overextend ourselves, sometimes get little in return, and then wonder why things feel unbalanced. We may even feel like we’re the problem when relationships don’t turn out how we hoped. 

But here’s the truth—love isn’t just about giving, it’s about knowing how to receive, too. And at Attachment University, we’re teaching you how to do both. When you learn how to love with security, confidence, and balance, everything changes in your relationships and in your life. 

Love isn’t serendipitous—it’s learned, and I'm here to teach you how.

It’s time to stop accepting less than what you deserve and start experiencing better. Healing begins here—with learning to regulate your emotions and express yourself in a way that’s both authentic and safe. 

I'm here to help you learn how to communicate honestly, set boundaries, and embrace your worth without fear. As Black women, we deserve to be seen, heard, valued, and respected. 

As leaders, we have the power to show up for others in a way that makes them feel the validated and it helps them thrive under our tutelage. It’s time to be the kind of leader that people want to follow—not just because of your title, but because you make them feel seen, heard and valued. Imagine leading a workplace like Oprah’s or Google—where everyone is thriving because of the culture you’ve built. A space that’s welcoming, productive, and a place people don’t want to leave because it feels like home. And that starts with you. It all begins with mastering your emotions and you showing up as the kind of leader who makes that culture possible.
